The UniParty Sends More Money to Ukraine While Americans Struggle
Vern Buchanan Toes the Line for the Swamp
In a move that further underscores the disconnect between our elected officials and the pressing needs of American citizens, Congressman Vern Buchanan has once again aligned himself with expansive spending policies prioritizing foreign interests over domestic welfare. His recent vote to send additional financial aid to Ukraine highlights a troubling pattern of fiscal irresponsibility, particularly at a time when so many Americans are grappling with crippling inflation.
A Track Record of Excessive Spending
Vern Buchanan has consistently been one of the biggest spenders in Congress, outspending most Democrats to approve funding that is disconnected from the immediate needs and concerns of his constituents. On Saturday, Vern joined with the UniParty and voted to send an additional $61 billion of your money to Ukraine, in addition to the previous $113 billion. This is close to $2,000 for every taxpaying household. This could fund our entire Marine Corps three times!
Speaker Mike Johnson and the UniParty System
Supporting this spending bill aligns Vern Buchanan with Speaker Mike Johnson, another prominent figure in what many recognize as the 'UniParty' system. US Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky put it this way:
It’s official: @SpeakerJohnson is no longer the GOP Speaker of the House, but Speaker for the Uniparty’s $1.5T deficit, warrantless spying on Americans, and a foreign aid bill with more deficit spending than Schumer’s budget buster.
This term, often used to describe a political environment where there is little to no distinction between the two major parties on critical issues, seems apt here. The decision to funnel more money into Ukraine—a nation currently embroiled in corruption—raises significant questions about our nation’s priorities. The UniParty prioritizes global intervention over the immediate economic challenges at home, demonstrating a concerning trend of governance that neglects the foundational principle of "America First."
It is no wonder that Vern was caught dancing at the White House during the Speakership fight. It is likely he had already cut a deal with the UniParty to ensure the profligate spending continued through Mike Johnson.
Joe Biden’s Corruption Protected by the UniParty
"We the People" overwhelmingly reject (by 70% of all Americans) our taxpayer dollars being funneled to Ukraine, the most corrupt nation in Europe. This is the same conflict that Joe Biden bragged about exerting his influence to protect his son Hunter’s money laundering operation at Burisma. This is why the FBI’s mishandling of Hunter Biden’s laptop is so important. In it are all the receipts of the corruption in Ukraine and 10% allocated for the “big guy.” That big guy was then VP Joe Biden.
A Call for Change
I pledge to challenge this status quo of unchecked spending and misguided priorities. It's time to bring back fiscal responsibility. We must advocate for policies that secure economic stability and prosperity for every citizen rather than dissipating our resources on unaccountable international aid.
The ongoing support for foreign interventions and the UniParty's disregard for fiscal prudence must end. If we are to restore faith in our government, we must elect representatives committed to serving their constituents' interests first and foremost.
It is time to prioritize America first and ensure that policies bring direct benefits to Americans—or better yet, our hard-earned tax dollars are spent judiciously and left in the pockets of Americans. Let’s reaffirm our commitment to the principles of liberty, prosperity, and the well-being of our great nation.
Please remember to vote on August 20th in the Republican primary. Vote for Eddie Speir for Congress because it’s time we brought genuine fiscal conservatism back.
