R.I.N.O. Republican in Name Only. Vern Buchanan has espoused conservative values and voted for liberal causes for years. When he blocked President Trump from pulling out of the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement, there wasn’t much publicity at the time. When he infringed on all of our 2nd Amendment rights with his federal-database-of-gun-owners HR 8 in 2021, he must’ve thought that nobody would notice.
Inevitably, his voting record has caught up with him and he can’t continue to send out polls to make us think he is representing the conservative values of Manatee and southern Hillsborough County.
But today’s vote might be the most visible example yet. In the fight for the soul of the Republican Party, the Associated Press reported, “Rep. Jim Jordan becoming House speaker would help cement the far right's takeover of the Republican Party and trigger conflict with Democrats over the size and scope of government.”
Every now and again, the fake news accidentally reveals the truth. Jim Jordan would start a conflict over the size and scope of the government. That is what "We the People" are demanding! To help understand this dynamic please compare Jim Jordan’s conservative score to Vern’s score. Also, know that Steve Scalise who Vern originally supported scored an F as well at 58.
Vern is one of six RINOs leading the charge from the Republican Party to fight against any accountability in Washington, DC. The RINOs and their UniParty counterparts from the Democrat Party are already plotting to create a "Coalition government" which is simply a euphemism for the UniParty of big spending, high inflation appropriations, and no accountability with single issue votes.
This “coalition government” would be an agreement of entrenched career politicians from both parties and it would surely continue the cycle of Continuing Resolution to Continuing Resolution to last-minute Omnibus Bill. Then politicians could come back home and report to their constituents that they are doing the darnedest to try and fight against the out-of-control spending.
I fully expect to receive a poll asking whether or not I support trillion-dollar deficit spending while Vern Buchanan says he favors balanced budgets. Hogwash!!
I have seen this play out for too long. We the People, need to be heard. We’ve been ignored and patronized. I couldn’t just stand back and complain any longer. That’s why I decided to challenge Vern Buchanan and give conservatives a real choice.
I will further elaborate my positions and background in the coming months, but here’s a brief introduction:
I started a software company called Mortgage Cadence and sold it to Accenture in 2011. Then I started and developed Inspiration Academy a 6th-12th grade private Christian school in Bradenton. From there, I went on to help lead a turnaround at New College of Florida. I was instrumental in leading one of the most liberal universities in the nation to abolish DEI, begin the process of removing Gender Studies, and start an Athletics program. These actions have initiated the long process of changing the culture at NCF and restoring it to the crown gem of Florida’s State University System it was originally intended to be.

I saw you about a month ago at the Manatee Co. Patriots meeting. I was not only impressed with your qualifications but also impressed with your obvious professionalism and leadership potential.
I moved to Manatee Co. around the time “VB” was first elected. I have followed his career since. His claim to being a conservative has never come true. His Conservative Review score has always been in the middle or below the average score for the liberals he votes with.
I am an annoying voice to many of my neighbors because I never shrink from sharing my thoughts about the phonies in our local government with Vern being at the top of my complaints.
As I see our current political situation, we have a little time to undo all the sins that we have committed with our voting record. I am but one small voice, but I am not ashamed to use it.
I was one of the first to offer a donation at the Manatee County in Patriots meeting. I don’t say this to brag. I only say this because I was willing to put my money where my mouth and my heart is. The entire political environment of our county state and country is circling the drain I do hope that there is enough time to wake up those who ignore the fire that is blazing around them,
You are in my prayers and there is a little more that I can offer.
Vern Buchanan tends to vote with the direction of the wind (unless there's money on the table). Yesterday the District 16 base called and let him know we wanted Jim Jordan for Speaker. I personally called and the phone lines were quite busy. It took a few tries to get through and judging by the whining we heard from Representatives today, I'd say we melted the lines pretty good. Last night we know what happened. Biden asked for a one hundred billion dollar ($100,000,000,000.00) spending package to support Israel, Ukraine, and oh yeah some scraps for the Southern Border. Imagine how the defense contractors were licking their chops when they heard about the money being floated. I'm sure Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, and other top defense lobbyists were on the phone with Vern's office this morning telling him NOT to support Jordan. We know what happened - he thought voting for Byron Donalds would get him off the hook...NOT!!! Again we called today to let him know we were disgusted with his vote.
I think the bottom line here is, Vern has to go. Buchanan has always been a NeoCon RINO and that is why we need to take him down with a SPEIR!!!!!
